Name:
Kurai
(Kuu-reye. Pronounce the reye as the word 'eye' with an ‘r’ added to the beginning.)
Gender:
Male.
Age:
3 years of age.
Pack:
Ungiven Hope.
(Prefered --- I'd be happy anywhere, as long as I get to roleplay.)
Rank:
Would it be alright if I started out as a loner, joined the pack, and then worked my way up?
I like doing things the hard way.
xP
Appearance:
Kurai wields the type of appearance that makes others repulse. I am not speaking about ugly, because wolves have no real sense of beauty, they are mostly absent from this ever changing human aspect. What I am trying to describe, is brought up from his scarred body, and ragged fur. When one looks at him, one fears him, yet pities him. His aura states that he is a sad being living in a world his own mind has created. Which is why he is commonly labeled a lunatic on first glance. His pelt use to possess a silk like, healthy shine, but through years of harsh weather, years of petty fights, and just plain years of life, have worn it down greatly. It is now always ruffled, and/or positioned in some weird way. His eyes, as useless as they are, still possess color. Quite abstract and bold color strangely enough, ever since a young pup, the vivid coloring given to him never deteriorated away. A rather creative swirl of brown and green encircle the pupil, whilst a light tad of blue dots around the edge of the iris. His long talons which emerge from his large paws are colored a blackish tint; a strange aspect he received from his father.
Personality:
Unlike his appearance suggests, Kurai isn’t the type of insane being that mumbles about how the world is a conspiracy every second of his life. Actually, Kurai is one that would prefer to think things through before speaking… if you can get him to speak at all. He is the type that thinks things always happen for a reason. He also believes in a thing the humans call karma. Overall Kurai is a well balanced individual, who could care less what happens around him.
History:
It is true that to understand the present, one must understand the beginning, so that is where I shall start. Kurai was born into a rather pathetic pack, the alphas held no respect from the other wolves and it was as if there weren’t any ranks at all. Pups were slaughtered and trampled everyday, and everyday a mother would morn her child’s passing. The hunters of the pack would rarely ever bring the food back to the others; instead, they would just eat it themselves, and continue on their way. So when his father died, his mother, Sauri, took him and his only living sister, Sinsha, to a tall cliff, and dropped them into it’s depths; trying to get rid of everything that reminded her of her mate. But fate hadn’t planned an end of the two cubs so early, other things were in mind. The two, luckily ended up landing on the back of an eagle. This eagle, named Raidon, became their protectors, feeding them, and keeping them safe from harm’s way. His eyes, as useless as they are, still contain color
As they got older though, so did Raidon, and he ended up dying of old age. After grieving his death respectfully, Sinsha and Kurai continued on their paths. Although, their personalities never complied with one another, and at first, it was just a small issue, immature fighting about which way to turn, and whether to dig a den for the night, or stay in an already made cave. But things became worse. You see, Sinsha was what one might call: a smart alek. Always, playing tricks, and altering the truth when it would get her out of trouble. But Kurai, was very serious about life, and never did anything without sensible reasoning. And one day, Sinsha pulled Kurai’s string a bit too much, and in a blind rage, Kurai charged after her and bit until his fangs tasted blood, and clawed until his claws felt flesh. No matter how loud she screamed, he kept it up. Until finally, he realized what he was doing.
Horrified, he listened to her cries for mercy, and helped her to her feet. “My sight has left me, I can’t see a thing! What is wrong? Fix it, fix my eyes please big brother!” But there was nothing he could do. His next action might not seem logical to you, but inside of himself, he knew it was the only way to be forgiven. In devotion to his sister, he ripped into his eyes, tearing his ability of sight away from himself. The last thing he ever saw was his sister, crying in agony.
A few weeks later, he found her body in the forest. She just gave up hope, life wasn’t good enough for her any more he supposed. But he would never really know the real reason. It was then, more than ever, that he cherished life, realizing its importance. And with that thought, a nod of his head, and a rustle of his tail, he left her dead body, with the goal of making a life, becoming someone.
Other:
If it'd be alright, I'd like to add in his history. I spent forever on it, and it's what makes him: 'him.'

Kurai’s personality might not be exactly what I described. Every time I roleplay him, I tend to give him a different name and with that, a slightly different personality. Well, that’s pretty much it, I can’t wait to start role playing! =D
